For a meal
It’s absolutely perfect in cooking: you can use it fresh or dried. It’s great paired with meat and rice, and no proper curry is complete without it! Try, for example, the tried-and-true Punjabi-style chicken with cilantro by Chef Sofia Smith, or a simple turmeric soup, which is sure to give you a boost.
Drinks
Want to fight a cold with turmeric? Just grate some into your tea. Or try turmeric tea right away (a teaspoon of turmeric with lemon and honey + hot water). And the best for last: golden milk. You’ll find the recipe for this delicious pick-me-up on our website.
For the skin
You can also use turmeric to help treat skin conditions such as acne and eczema. Mix the cream you normally use on your skin with a teaspoon of freshly grated turmeric.
Anti-Wrinkle
Turmeric also has a number of benefits in the field of cosmetics: for example, you can use it to make an anti-wrinkle mask. Here’s how to make it: Blend coconut oil with aloe vera gel and add 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Use it at least twice a week, preferably every day.
