Yam Bean comes from Central America, but it is popular in all tropical regions of the world. The elongated root is eaten, which is similar in appearance to radish. It tastes like an apple and edible chestnuts.
The root is peeled and eaten either fresh in salads – for example, we can make a delicious coleslaw from it – or baked and fried in a mixture with meat and other types of vegetables.
