The so-called Mexican coriander is a tropical herb related to coriander, but it has a more pronounced taste. Unlike regular coriander, Mexican coriander leaves dry well, and even in the dried state, they retain their color and taste.
It is used to flavor dishes and marinate meats, especially in the Caribbean, Thailand, India, Vietnam and other parts of Asia.
It is often used as a substitute for regular coriander (in smaller quantities, of course).
Native to Mexico and South America, but grown all over the world. The leaves and roots of Mexican coriander promote appetite, good digestion and soothe the stomach.
