Homemade Fruit Face Masks
⏱️ Reading time: 3 min
Especially during times when we sweat a lot, our skin isn’t usually in the best condition. A face mask is a treat you can give your skin to refresh it. In just a few minutes, you’ll provide it with the vitamins it needs to nourish, soften, and cleanse your skin. It’s best to apply a mask once or twice a week. When rinsing it off, don’t forget to place a strainer in the sink so that fruit scraps don’t clog the drain.

Avocado and Kiwi Mask with Honey
Avocado deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin. It’s suitable for all skin types and ideal for skin regeneration. Kiwi is rich in vitamins C and E, as well as omega-3 fatty acids, which keep the skin supple and healthy. Plus, kiwi seeds can also be used as an exfoliant. If you have dry skin, you can add plain yogurt, which will refresh your skin. Honey is known for its antibacterial and healing properties. It also softens and nourishes the skin.
Mash half an avocado and one kiwi with a fork or hand blender until smooth. Slowly add plain unsweetened yogurt so the consistency isn’t too runny and it stays on your face well. Finally, add a teaspoon of honey. Apply to thoroughly cleansed skin and let it sit for 20 minutes.

Banana-Strawberry Face Mask
Bananas are rich in vitamins B, A, E, and C, as well as minerals that give the skin a youthful, radiant appearance. They are also a source of natural oils and potassium, which soothes irritated skin. The amino acid tryptophan, found in bananas, is essential for the production of serotonin and melatonin—the “feel-good” hormones—so if you have a few left over, be sure to have a little snack.
Strawberries are known for their high vitamin C and antioxidant content, which help slow down skin aging. They can also lighten age spots, and strawberry seeds make an excellent exfoliant.
Mash half a banana and a few strawberries with a fork or an immersion blender. You can also add a teaspoon of honey, which has antiseptic properties. Apply the mask to cleansed skin and let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse it off. Your skin will glow like the night sky.

Papaya and Honey Face Mask
Papaya is packed with vitamins and antioxidants that rejuvenate your skin. It’s particularly rich in vitamin A and the enzyme papain, which has excellent exfoliating properties. It not only removes dead skin cells but also improves skin quality. Papaya also contains elements that soothe irritated, acne-prone skin, prevent premature aging, and leave your skin firm, hydrated, radiant, and perfectly smooth. “It’s important that the fruit be soft, but not too soft. The papaya should be yellow-orange in color, so if you buy one that’s still green, let it ripen at room temperature,” says Vojtěch Havránek of Titbit.
Cut the papaya in half and remove the seeds; you can blend them and add them to the mask for a wonderful exfoliating treatment. Plus, the nutrients in the seeds will brighten, firm, and smooth your skin. Cut two pieces from one half of the papaya, mash them until smooth, and add a teaspoon of honey. Apply to clean skin, let it sit for 20 minutes, and then rinse with water.
