Climacteric ripening chambers
Ready-to-eat quality is the result of a controlled and natural ripening process. At Titbit, we achieve it through a unique technology that respects the fruit itself.
How It Works
We use climate-controlled ripening chambers that operate without ethylene. We control the ripening process through a combination of temperature, humidity, and precise air circulation, in accordance with the natural ripening process of the fruit. The process follows the fruit’s natural ripening cycle rather than artificially accelerating it.
The key is to ensure an active flow of conditioned air through the entire pallet and individual boxes. As a result, the fruit ripens evenly and maintains consistent quality. The fruit thus ripens naturally, gradually from the center toward the skin, which is a fundamental difference from conventional ethylene-based technologies.
Why We Do This
We supply Ready-To-Eat fruit that is well-balanced in flavor, consistent in quality, and ready to eat at just the right moment.
At the same time, we help reduce waste throughout the supply chain. Thanks to controlled ripening, we can better plan our shipments, reduce air freight, and increase flexibility for our partners.
The entire process is the result of long-term development and our daily work with avocados and mangoes. We are constantly refining it so that “Ready-To-Eat” isn’t just a label, but a true standard of quality you can rely on.
